Teen Run Down by Car Wakes to Ticket from Palo Alto Cop

Hit and run driver nearly kills 17 year old Palo Alto High School student in front of witnesses, Palo Alto Police Officer says the boy "fell off his bike"

  P. J., a 17 year old Sophmore at Palo Alto High School, never saw what hit him.  But several students who were out in front of his school that morning did.  They say they saw a white Volvo sedan run P.J. over as he rode his bike in the bike lane in front of the school grounds.  The car then sped away.

  P. J. didn't regain consciousness until three hours after the accident.  The first thing he saw when he awoke was a Palo Alto Police officer standing over him, forcing a ticket pad into his broken face and instructing him to sign in the appropriate space.  He had committed a crime, namely:  Not wearing a bicycle helmet.

This officer who was so concerned about punishing wrong doers that he waited three hours to serve his ticket, completely dismissed the accounts of hit and run made by several bystanders at the accident scene.

When P. J.'s mother contacted the officer concerning this she was told that P. J. must have fallen off his bike by going too fast, "that happened to me once!"

A copy of the police report doesn't even mention that witnesses reported seeing a white vehicle hit him and then flee the scene.  Subsequently, the mother's insurance company refuses to pay for the medical expenses incurred while P. J. stayed in the hospital and for the reconstructive surgery on his face.

Prostitution Sting or Police Entrapment?

Sexy young female officer
is very arresting in hot pants

There she was, leaning provacatively against the light post next to the bus stop.  She was extremely good looking for a prostitute I thought, then it struck me how strange it was to see a prostitute in Palo Alto.

The next day I read in the paper how the Palo Alto Police had just run a "very successful" prostitution sting operation on El Camino Real using a black female officer as bait.  The story claims that the officer just stood on the sidewalk and was approached by men in all directions.

She did more that just stand on the sidewalk during the short period I observed her from the stop light.  I was easily 100 feet from her, but she was still able to make eye contact with me and give me a seductive "come hither" smile.

She was also in the habit of looking down and brushing imaginary lint away from her crotch area, drawing even more attention to her obscenely tight black hot pants.

We can all sleep a little easier now knowing that our police department is doing all that it can to keep our streets "clean".

WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?

Palo Alto Weakly was published and distributed to local coffee shops, donut shops, train stations and libraries in and around the city of Palo Alto during the spring and summer of 1997.

The publishers moved on to bigger and better things (outside of Palo Alto of course).
