distinguished herself in the legal profession in various
capacities as: Legal Counselor, Corporate Secretary, first
Vice-President and Director of Anscor Hagedorn Securities, Inc.;
Anscor Capital and Investment Corporation; and most especially for
her deep sense of commitment and vigilance as first woman
Commissioner of the Bureau of Internal Revenue (1993-1998),

TLC Beatrice Holdings, Inc., thereby enhancing the prestige of the
Filipino entrepreneur in the International Scene.

Alternative Press particularly in publications such as the
Philippine Daily Inquirer and Mr. and Mrs. Weekly Special Edition;

Martial Law under the Marcos dictatorship; and for having
established the Foundation for Wordwide People Power; thereby
promoting social justice, truth, and equity.

Philippines in the 1999 Miss Universe Competition in which she won
as First Runner-up, and very importantly, for living up to public
expectations as a beauty contest winner and as a role model for
