Busy Parents
These days, parents can't give children the attention they need, a lot of parents need to work abroad.
According to the National Statistic Office ( NSO ), the Overseas Contract Workers (OCWs)
were 2.2million during the period from April to September.
OCWs work hard to cover the family expenses. Many overseas contract workers spend most of their life taking care
of other people's children to earn a living. They can only come home for 3 weeks in every 2 years.
If lucky, could back home on Christmas or summer vacation, they could have a little more time with children.
If not, they wait for their children after school.
Lack of time and attention is a misfortune, the generation gap worse the problem.
NSO could not count the parents work in Manila but children living in province,
there could be numbers in million too, the suffer the similar problem.

Many parents lack of knowledge, they have no idea what kind of world that their children are living.
In the old times, it was not a matter. People devoted to the church and religion. In their free time all that they did was prayer.
Parents were teachers in the old time. A farmer taught their children how to plant rice and harvest.
A fisherman taught his children how to fish. There was no generation gap, the family was close.
Most parents today do not have information technology when they were teenager.
A child locked himself in his room could say that he was doing his homework, in fact nobody knows what he is doing.
Is he really researching his homework ? Or is he searching the internet porn ? No one knows. Whereas in this case Strong Parental Guidance ( SPG ) is considered absolutely useless.
When being asked the reason of working far away and long time, parents give the answer :
To provide children what they want and what they need. Begin parent, it is the responsibility.
However, most of the time, children take it for granted, they do not want to know the hardship of parents.
Since the modern parents are busy and the problem of generation gap, to give young people the correct of sex value heavily depend on teachers.
