Manns
This is the historic Manns Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard, which is just one block away from the hostel we were staying at. It was here that all the classic films were premiered in Hollywood's glory days, and the whole of the front pavement outside is filled with the hand prints, footprints and signatures of the stars in concrete (this was where the whole 'prints in concrete' thing started). Sadly though, Hollywood's glamorous past is long gone, and the place now seems a little run down, with just tacky tourist gift shops and 'attractions' feeding off the name.
