 My name is Paul and I have been involved in astronomy for over six years was a key member of my local Astronomy club (Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth Regional Astronomy club (LYRA).We are currently restoring out 12 inch reflector as it was dismantled and left abandoned. We have been working very hard to restore and update it by fitting RA motor and DEC motor and a control unit to keep tracking the object. The dome has now been refurbished with new bearings and rollers, outside of dome painted. New rollers works really well.What really changed my outlook on astronomy was when I meet Nik Syzmanek one of the best astrophotographer if not the best.Showing Nik what I had done he was impressed and gave me some tips. I them moved to Kingston upon Hull and so the story continues. Let there be dark sky's.
