1983 MUSTANG GT ( my ongoing project)
This is my first attempt at creating a web page about my mustang. I am currently trying to build the engine to 375 HP to go mid 12's.
Still gotta get it out to be bored oversize and make some real power
Flowtech 2 1/2" X pipe for the 1 5/8" longtubes
finally got the engine out and it is only JULY 2000
I have owned this mustang for over 10 years buying it used in 1989 when it was all stock. When I first bought it I took it to the drag strip to see what it would do.
The  car was all stock 5.0L with 5 speed and 3:45's in the rear. The car wore the original TRX tire and turned a 15.5 sec @90 MPH for a good starting point for the future.
has not moved yet
The car was all original when I bought it on Sept. 22,1989. The colour is bright red(maroon to me) with a 5.0L with the factory 4 barrel carb hooked to a 5 speed T-5 with the 7.5" rearend. I paid $6000 cdn for it and it had the FORD extended warranty . It had 78000 km  and ran strong.(first real V-8 car so it was real fast to me) It has the factory sunroof with black halo sport seats. After buying the car I quickly put in a HURST shifter for the five speed and had my friendly Ford dealer install 3:45 in the rear( thanks for the warranty it only costs me $50 ).The next month in Oct before the snow flies up north here in Canada I took it to the drag strip to see what it would do. This is the first time I had this car to the track and I was just learning how to get those stupid TRX  tires to hook instead of spin. The best was a [email protected] MPH with a terrible 2.48 sec  60FT time.
