- This is a story about a girl named Terry Fletcher ( Hilary Duff ) who has a very beautiful singing voice. On the day of her brother's graduation party she decided to sneak he's brother out to watch a concert. But an unexpected turn of event made her lose her will to sing. And the only way for her to get her voice back is with the support of her father as she studies and trains her talent and craft at Briston Hills.
