Paul Marazzi, former a1 member and lead singer of the rock/soul band Snagsby, is known to people as the funny, small guy and doesn't really like fame at all. A huge fan of music, from Shakin' Stevens to Prince, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Marilyn Manson to Outkast.

Paul audition for a1 in 1997, and passed among thousands of other hopefuls. He was later joined in by Mark Read, Ben Adams and Christian Ingebrigtsen. In 1999, they released their debut single 'Be The First To Believe' which became a1's anthem and their first Top 10 hit. 'Here We Come', the debut album, was released November that year. The band have sold over a million records in UK alone by the end of 2000.

In mid-2000, a1 scored their first No1 hit with their cover version of A-ha's 'Take On Me' and later followed by 'Same Old Brand New You'. A week after the released of 'No More', a1 took home the Brit Award for 'Best Newcomer of 2000'.

2002 became a great year as it starts and by June that year, Paul was rumoured to be leaving the band soon. Speculations made by fans themselves and added fuel to it when Paul lost his passport in around September.

"After a lot thought and deliberation, I have made the difficult choice to leave the band due to personal reasons", Paul said upon his departure from a1 in October 8, 2002. After 2 months, Paul joined a campaign against guns. In February 2003, Paul announced his plans of going solo. By March the same year, Paul was comfirmed to host the Andy Cole's Children's Foundation held April 26 in Manchester. In July, Paul was rumoured to have signed a contract with RCA in US as he was confimed to be in New York that year.

Paul was silent in the past 2 years. In December 2005, Paul started forming a rock/soul band in Northeast, England. Months after, band was officially formed and in July 2006, the band Snagsby was born...

Paul Marazzi is currently a dj in The George Hotel in Whitby being manage by his father Ivan Marazzi.
