Biographical Information Back to top BACK TO CONTENTS
Born in the City of Birmingham on May 12th, 1962. Received a Nursery, Primary and Secondary education in Birmingham. Having one younger brother Nigel grew up in a warm supporting family home. Gained the Chief Scout Award; was a founding member of Highbury Youth Theatre and went on to gain a place at Mountview Theatre School in London. That's where conformity ends! Instead of training for the stage, he received a jail sentence of four and a half years, for Robbery, Burglary and Conspiracy to Defraud; spending the last eighteen months of his sentence at the Governments Therapeutic Prison "Grendon". Following release in August 1985 and after studying Business Skills in Plymouth, became a partner in 'Steamitã ', an Industrial Cleaning Company based in the West Midlands. This proved to be a successful venture and was later sold to allow time for Undergraduate studies in Oxford. Three years later in 1991, Graduated with Honors in both Psychology and Law from Oxford Polytechnic. An Assistant Psychologists post was secured in 1992, on a full-time voluntary basis; working for Alan Richens, Head of the Learning Disability Service of South Birmingham Health Authority. Returned to Oxfordshire in 1994 as a Group Worker at the Ley Community, a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center, run as a therapeutic community. Taking up Postgraduate studies in 1998 at the University of Birmingham, where he read Clinical Criminology and later Criminological Psychology. He was awarded Master of Science in Criminological Psychology in May 2000. He remains healthy, single and in search for centers of excellence in behavior modification! Back to top
