SUMMARY
GT is split into two main areas, Arcade and Gran Turismo.
Arcade allows you limited access to the cars and the tracks, with single racing,
time trail or multiplayer options. The Arcade mode offers little in the way of the
advanced gameplay available in GT-mode, but it does allow you to race blindly without
worrying about the consequences
FEATURES
Gran Turismo mode starts with you buying a car with the initial money you are given.
From there you either get yourself your first license (B-license) or you can race practise
races to get a feel for the car you have chosen.
The part I enjoy the most is tweaking the car with additional parts, getting the horsepower
up to some stupid level, messing around with the gear ratios, or suspension settings and
see how the car performs differently.
As you might imagine, the graphics in GT are quite amazing. The cars are superbly modelled
and the tracks are well replicated - I had a little problem with the textures used, a
little gaudy. The cars within the game are perfect, each car has a range of colours to
choose from, and each model is perfectly replicated - even cars with complicated blended
bodies like the Dodge Viper.
Tracks are nicely modelled, with a range of heights (something that some previous racing
games seemed to lack). While the modelling is good, the textures used are a little bright
and gaudy. This doesn't affect the game because the textures fly by at crazy rates.
In summary Gran Turismo is a driving-fanatics dream,
