Welcome to the Bourbin Family homepage.

Herein, you will find things that are of interest to us.

In addition to growing Orchids at home, Paul enjoys working for an Orchid boarding and sales company called White Oak Orchids in San Francisco. Click here to find out more about White Oak Orchids

One of his hobbies is that of restoring and repairing old acoustical (wind-up) phonographs. The person who taught him most of what he knows and sells him parts and gets him out of fixes is Dwayne Wyatt. He owns Wyatt's Musical Americana Talking Machine Company. If you are interested in old phonographs, you owe it to yourself to check out his Website: Click here and see what he offers.

Another of Paul's hobbies is the history and collecting of vintage radios and other electronics. He is a past president and board chairman for the California Historical Radio Society, Click here to visit the Society's Website.

Edith is very fond of International Folk Dancing and is currently in charge of The Mandala Folk Dance Center. To find out what is happening at Mandala [Three Bulgarian Dancers]Click here

She enjoys folk dancing throughout the Bay Area, but like many other dancers, has trouble keeping up with all of the activities. To help others out, she, Paul and our friend, Phyllis Doyle maintain BayFolk, The Bay Area Folk Dance Directory with information on teachers, venues and dance activities happening throughout the Bay Area. If you are interested in Folk Dancing, check it out.

While Paul does not dance much, he does enjoy going to folk dance events and often helps by supplying the sound equipment and playing tapes. He will be doing just that at the Sunsetter's Folk Dance Camp in September while Edith dances and Mark plays cards. If you would like to spend a wonderful and relaxing weekend in the Santa Cruz Mountains, follow the link.

Mark has his own IBM computer, but has not had much interest in the Internet. He prefers using his computer to play games and do homework.

Our friend, Dr. Rose Resnick, has a very fine lecture, The Human Potential. It is most interesting. Click here to find out more.

Another friend, Mel Harte has a very nice folk dance group in the East Bay town of Albany. Click here to find out more.

Tanya Kostova, is a friend who is a very talented choreographer and teacher of authentic dance and song from Bulgaria. Click here to see her Website.

Speaking of folk dancing, the errata for the 1999 Kolo Festival Synopsis (Mihai David's dance notes for Ca La Ses) is available by Clicking Here.

For those of you who know of the Bourbin Family penchant for things old, much of this his web page was done on an antique Commodore 64 computer. We prefer things that have endured the test of time.
