Dr. Resnick offers a very fine talk, entitled The Human Potiential, which varies from twenty to thirty minutes, depending upon the allotment available. It highlights the achievements of people who have overcome what normally would be considered amazing or impossible, such as: athletic prowess in running, reading with fingers faster than with sight, using talking computers alongside seeing people at work, school or in recreation. She describes the training of guide dogs and will demonstrate how they work; also how Braille is written and read. She explains how the white cane is a safe aid in travel and how one handles the activities of daily living without seeing; cooking, grooming, recognizing people, etc.
Those who have heard Rose, refer to her talk as the most outstanding talk they have ever heard - dramatic, humorous, informative. There is no fee other than a voluntary contribution. Those who are members of clubs, sororrities, and all men's and women's social, service and other groups may call Rose at: (415) 922-0444.
