Reference Services for Digital Special Collections: A Melding of the Digital Revolution with Common Sense Tradition
Digital special collections are produced and sponsored by local, state, federal and international libraries, museums and other agencies as well as by vendors. This workshop will explore these collections and the service they require. It will present reference techniques to use with school age to adult users of these collections. It will explain how they compare with other digital information and collections in other formats. It will also include a look at how these collections are created, where they are located on the web and what role local and union online catalogs play in working with them.
Presenting Your Library Services: Making Successful Multimedia Library Presentations Using Microsoft's PowerPoint
This workshop is for those who do bibliographic instruction, technology training, user education and management presentations and use Microsoft's PowerPoint as a visual aid.
