TEARS IN THE NIGHT
Oh come with me
on a journey long and true
come and see what is
or perhaps what is not
Down the dark highways
we will fly as we journey
down to where we hear
the tears in the night
Oh why are they crying
people lost in the night
where hopes are shattered
perhaps beyond all repair
Maybe this is where I belong
lost without any song
lost without any hearing
but only the tears in the night
I turn; we turn; apart: not one;
sharing; caring; not known;
tears in the night;
I'm lost; but found
Or am I lost in darkness
if I am not alone
are we together
in the silence of fright
Sharing; caring; a bright light;
silence; not tears;
wonder; not helplessness;
hope; not fear any longer
It cuts through the night
silencing the pains; the griefs
tears in the night
retreating from the bright light
Hope from above
a man; yet not a man;
dying at the skull;
giving hope for a better day
We walk in the night
but it is bright not dark
and the tears in the night
are silenced by Jesus's love
