SUNSET

Someone watching
a beautiful sunset.

Melancholy, HE sighs, and
i notice the tears streaming
down his ancient face. HE
gradually notices me and
manages a weak smile at
the concern radiating
from my eyes. HE crosses
to me and says----

"Young fellow,
I have no one to turn to,
no future to look forward to, my
life is ending. I have
no one to pass
my wisdom to. My family
is long dead-- just a fading
memory. Alone, I watch
the sun and its
beauty praying
to no one."

HE leaves me alone to
watch the skies as the
blazing colors of twi-
light fade into black,
thinking that life is
like the sunset. Both
are witness by all, but
are quickly forgotten...
