INTIMACY
by Thomas Blackshear
Intimacy I see her standing right by the doorway of my hidden desires It doesn't matter for now her identity or even how she came to be a part of me of my being No I stand entrance in the magic of the dark eyed beauty who came to be through my dreams I feel my heart race as she breathes silently as she reaches out of her dark corner into my universe The universe of infinite possibilities She glides into the room eyes glowing with their own luminance her lips moist richly red as they reflect the pale moon light She reaches down and I watch as she runs her long tapered fingers over her maiden form Never once taking her eyes off me she reaches to her silk kilmona and loosens the first snap letting the pieces unravel unveiling her richly tanned skin with a hint of the hidden treasures still out of sight But never really out of mind Silently I watch as candles blaze cloaking the lady in shadows but I smell her fragrance of roses and daffodils hear the quiet rustling as she unbuttons more of her rich silk kilmona hear her soft breathing in the stillness of the night Slowly my eyes adjust to the dim light and I see the lady's breast exposed to the night taunt nipples quivering as she breathes peaks on perfect mountains I think as I wait uncertain of the fates Dimly at first her crystal begins to glow as it rests in her valley of endless possibilities suspended there on a simple rope chain As each second passes into the vault of eternity the light surges up the scale until it merges with the candle light inviting me to join with the lady join my magic with hers in one single act of intimacy Paul Vernon Deffendall May 14, 1997 PREVIOUS POEM NEXT POEM BACK TO FADED GLORY![]()
