Inner Dreams

Night time
silent music flows
through the still air

sad songs love songs
that matches the pain
I feel inside of me
somewhere else
is where I wish to be

far away in a 
different time
different world

inside my dreams
I still see her
my guiding star
my hidden strength
my soul
and my inspiration

the dreams
used to be enough
but now
I need her
so much by my side
just to be near Donna
lights up my world

I never knew
love could be
so painful

I need her so much
and her special touch
when she stands by me
I feel complete

I don't know
how it happened
a little seed
planted forgotten
yet it grew
inside its own universe
outside of time

now it's blooming
brighter than any rose
yet it bares thorns

I never felt this way
about anybody before
never walked this road

it feels wonderful
so alive so full of joy
so empty
when I'm not with her

but isn't that
what love is all about
