I Only Wish

Sometimes I sit alone
thinking in the dark night
of the events of my life
and the memories
that makes life worth living

I only wish that I
knew then what a mistake
I made when I left you
Donna to set my eyes
on what I thought was more 
important than our love

I've been surprised many
times at the way my life
unfolded over the
years but no more than when
we got back together

I only wish that I

I smile now just thinking
about how lucky I
am to have you as a
very special friend who
is my inspiration

for about six years each
day more wonderful than
the one before as
we learn love together
