Guardian Angels

Yeah
I know that my
beliefs are somewhat
outside of the norm

but life has taught 
me so many lessons
that I do my best
to understand

life the greatest
mystery of all
shared in unison
one voice
one vision
but so many ways
of expressing it

what can I say
that I know that
God sends spirits
angels to watch
over us and
guide our steps
guardian angels

the guardians
in our life
devoted to our
needs sent from
God above
out of love

but just who are
these guardians

regular angels
     or
special agents
created from
God's holy plans

or just maybe
as I believe
people who loved us
or knew us
from our lives
who went to heaven
before us

old loves 
caring friends
significant people
from our lives
sent from God
to comfort and
guide us in
our times of need
in life itself

I know
without any doubt
that this is true
because I feel
that loving touch
gently guiding my
steps protectingly
comforting me

I knew that
same touch from
someone special
inside of my
mortal life

she's dead now
but I still feel
her touch
inside of my soul

from her
from my
guardian angel
