| Hon. H.W. Hilliard, of Alabama, has accepted the appointment to deliver the annual address before the Demosthenia and Phi Kappa Society of the University of Georgia, at the approaching commencement in August. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Meeting of Commissioners of the Atlantic and Gulf Railroad Company. The Commission assembled in our city on yesterday. At least two-thirds of the Commission was present. Present, Hon. E.A. Nisbet, Dr. J.P. Screven, N. Collier, Hon. W.J. Lawton, Joel Crawford and E.C. Anderson, C.J. Manerlyn, Esq., E.R.Young, Esq., W.B. Hodgson, Esq., Hon. A.H. Colquitt, J.M. Calhoun, Thos. Hamilton, Charles Spaulding, Alex. Atkinson, C.J. Jenkins, and Maj. J.H. Howard. Judge Nisbet was called to the Chair, and J.W.
