What makes Jun Zi (君子) peaceful? It is because they have a heart filled with love and care. Everything starts with and aims at love and care. They don’t need to cheat, play tricks, rob or hurt others. In Chinese, they are Ren Zhe (仁者). Ren Zhe have nothing to hide and nothing to worry about (仁者不憂).
Jun Zi start loving and caring at their family. They give love and care to their parents (孝), brothers and sisters (悌). These are the origins of love (仁之本).
When they get older, they make friends, work in an organization and live in a community. Their love and care is further extended to their friends, their work and their community (忠). For people who have hurt them, their love and care would turn up as forgiveness (恕).
