Born in 1946, the youngest daughter of George Henry Josiah Taggett II, and Hazel
Dorothy Taggett nee Pedro. I resided in St. George, Bermuda for the majority of
22 years. I attended school at Lyceum which was located in Bailey's Bay, and
later attended both Dellwood and Mt. St. Agnes Academy in Hamilton. In 1968 I
left Bermuda along with my 15 months old son, for a term of 6 months which I
intended to spent between Toronto, Ontario, Canada and Louisville, Kentucky.
Little did I know that I would not return to Bermuda for several years after
which time I had become a landed immigrant in Toronto. Initially I began working
at Globe Envelopes where I made the printing plates for the presses. Nearly 6
years later I left the industry and started my 26 year career working for Social
Services. Most of my career was in the specialized area of employment project
and programs which were developed to assist recipients of social assistance to
obtain financial independence.
After semi-retiring in 2000 and spending a most enjoyable year, I followed up
with my plan to work on a part-time basis. Most of my time is spent as an
amateur genealogist which began in 2003 when I decided to extensively research
the Taggett Family Tree.
I hope that I will be as successful in my latest endeavour.
