| Palo Alto Concours d' Elegance 2004 |
| We went down to the Palo Alto Concours d' Elegance feeling good about our Impala, and how well we had done this year. We also knew that Palo Alto was a very prestigious event. We tried to keep our hopes up. We lined up with our competition, which was impressive! We knew one of the cars. The rest we did not. We started cleaning and preparing our Impala for the judges inspection. A fellow competitor came over to take a closer look at our engine compartment. His comment to Mike was: "You win for the cleanest and most impressive engine." We all liked to hear that, as his car was beautiful. After judging, we were informed that we had placed as a winner. I rode with Mike to the winners stand. We received "Second" in our class." We were thrilled! |
