Gooey Mud
Mix 5 tbsp. of cornstarch with 3 tbsp. water. Put a little food coloring.
Bathroom Finger Paint
Pour 1/4 cup non-abrasive household cleanser into a container. Add enough water to make a thick paste.
Add food coloring and mix thoroughly. Child can use this to paint on bathroom walls. It washes off easily.
Bread Dough Clay
You will need old but not moldy bread for this recipe. Remove crust from one slice and crumble bread.
Mix about 1 teaspoon glue and 1 tablespoon water, then put mixture in the middle of crumbled bread crust. Knead until dough isn't sticky. Divide dough and add a few drops of food coloring to each part. Knead until color is well mixed into dough.
To store, place different colored clay in different plastic bags or containers and keep in the refrigerator.
You can make little intricate objects out of this clay like flowers, animals, miniature items for a doll house.
