Favorite Prayers

Lord God,

I consecrate myself to you today.

I give you my memory, my imagination, my will,

my schedule, my plans, and my decisions.

Through your Holy Spirit,

teach me not to be deceived

by the apparent beauty of the world,

but to seek and follow your perfect will

for my life.

Lord, let mine be a personal faith.

Let your love for me

and my love for you

be the heart of my commitment to you.

May my faith be a practical faith,

serving you day and night.

May the knowing and doing of your will,

the working of your kingdom,

the seeking of your glory

be my heart's one desire.

May I be a blessing and

encouragement to others,

especially to my household,

that they may take a stand for you.  Amen.
