The Witching Hour - 10-98

The Feast of All Saints - 1-99
Couldn't finish.  Literary Crap!

4 :
Merrick - 9-01
I'm in love with every character in this book!  They are that real to me  I can't wait to go back and read the ones I've missed.

5 :
Interview with a Vampire - 6-02
This book is one of the most poetically, beautifully, realistically and skillfully written books I have ever read.  It's moved to my short list of all time favorites.  I didn't know Mrs. Rice could write so concisely.

4 :
The Vampire Lestat - 8-02
A thoroughly enjoyable book, but it would have been much more so if it had been released in volumes.  That would have given the reader a break to think about all that has happened and it would take away the danger of Rice's hypnotic style lulling readers to sleep.

4 :
The Queen of the Damned - 10-02
I loved nearly all of the characters especially Lestat.  But, once again, the novel is so long that it distracts from the story.

4 :
The Tale of the Body Thief - 11-02
I really enjoyed most of this work, but I have no desire to read it again.  I am glad Richard has now joined the group, but I'm not really sure how he feels about Lestat.

5 :
Memnock the Devil - 2-03
WOW!  I just wish I could read Hebrew and ancient Greek so that I could find out if this is scripturally sound!  Mesmerizing.

3 : The Vampire Armand - 4-03
This one just wasn't as good.  Repeating things we already know is always disapointing in the end.

: Candle Night - 8-99
Welsh cumbersome and distracting.  Great character development, but disappointing ending.

4 :
Harry Potter and the Sorcer's Stone - 9-00
Very good and intriguing, but somewhat clich.

3 1/2 :
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets - 10-00
Very imaginative and fun.  Why doesn't Harry use his money?

4 1/2 :
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban - 11-00
Beautifully done.  Some loose ends left hanging for #4?

2 1/2 :
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire - ?
Very clever and imaginative, but not worth wading through 733 pp.  Had to force myself to finish while hoping the 5th is better.
