Pictures of Snow, the 12th Dec snow storm & similar stuff...

17th Nov, first snow....

It was early in the morning... we were so excited.. that we didn't even bother what we were wearing.. just ran out in out of the house to be in the snow... :-))))

The temp must be somewhere close to -5C but we were least bothered....

As you scroll down, you would realise, there's hardly any 'greenery' left....

The conical structure in the picture is the pump-house.. right next to it is the Twyckingham swimming pool... NOW the pool has nothing but snow in it....

by DEC, there was hardly any grass seen on the ground...

Car owners had/have to spend atleast 15min daily in shoveling off the snow... sometimes, during high snow, visibility is a major problem & driving is a BIG risk...

Note the cycles in the snow... later in another photo, you'll see the same cycles are completely 'drowned' in snow...

more snow....

On 12th DEC, parts of Michigan experienced one of the worst snow storms.... all major channels had indicated severe weather warning.... we were excited.. felt that a snow storm would be nothing great.. just a lot of snow thats it...

These photos were taken at around 5 in the evening...

It was like being in Antarctic on a windy day.. all roads were deserted... the weather news said, worst weather was on its way... again at night, at around 11 were took a walk outside.. played with the snow... got wet till we were freezing....

Next day, we had to give our final exams :-)))

Snow movers...

All TV channels advised ppl NOT to take their cars out... all schools, some colleges... most office were closed or worked 1/2 day... Chicago, Lansing & Detroit airports canceled all the flights...

But at MSU, things went on as if nothing had happened.. infact our processed as per schedule...

Remember the cycles.. after the snow storm.... the cycles were completely inside the snow.. this pic was taken a few days after the storm.. atleast here they r visible....
Near zero visibility....

Blanks of Red Cider... picture taken on my way to Matrix (the place where I work for my GA).
The Red Cider River.. Completely frozen....
The other side of Red Cider...
Picture taken from MSU union..
Picture taken near Beaumont Tower

Pictures taken from the back side of our house...

in the top pic, the lower right window is mine... note the formation of icicles...

During brief moments of sunshine, the ice on the roof melts forming icicles... some of the icicles are more than 10feet long.. like the one in the pic...
pic taken from my window....

MSU Campus...

The building in the background is the Engg building & Anthony hall (separated internally)

Actually this is the back side of the engg building...

The Auditorium..

the Matrix group is located in this building where
