11/21/02: A moment of reflection...so like 2 months ago we had this insanely alcoholic night at the old townies, I had a 40 of the Hurricane and a 12 pack of milwaukee's best to split with JR. We played some serious beirut, some asshole (the card game), and then chilled. We got pretty rowdy once the alcohol set in, and proceeded to break various things, including lights, walls, the microwave, and other things. We also had a fight with BB guns, and most of us got shot at least 5 times. Absolute MAYHEM!!!! 2/28/04: Last night I returned to W1bl action after a slight hiatus due to overwhelming schoolwork and a desire for more sleep. A little sober and rusty for the first game...team MATRICK lost by a couple cups...after waiting for our next turn, however, things were different. An all-w1 showdown vs. Kevin and Josh proved epic, as the game yet again came down to the last cup. team MATRICK prevailed, and then took on JR and Will. A hot start (3 in a row) gave us the edge before they even got to shoot, and we kept that edge until the end...where the last cup was hit and JR and will had a chance at 4-cup redemption to bring it to overtime. JR was up to the challenge, hitting 3 in a row, but rimming out the last cup! Next up were (zete) brothers Miagi and Sperm. I did a shot of Bacardi beforehang with my bro Eric (snuggles) and after that...I honestly don't recall details, but we did win. We were finally kicked off the table by none other than Closure and Emily (she has a sweet shot...). A 4-2 night brings team MATRICK out of the depths of 4-win teams (see doubles standings at the w1bl site) and into serious contention. More to follow....got a story?
