VISION AND MISSION

OUR VISION

Ø      a free, peaceful, prosperous and democratic nation

Ø      a society where everyone enjoys human rights

Ø      a sustainable, environment friendly lifestyle

Ø      active and comprehensive empowerment of workers in the informal economy towards individual and collective self-reliance

OUR MISSION

As a non-stock, non-profit NGO, PATAMABA seeks to:

Ø      ensure the rights and uplift the economic, political, and social conditions of workers in the informal economy

Ø      integrate the rights, needs, and interests of women in its policies and programs

Ø      establish networks/linkages to come up with appropriate solutions to their problems through lobbying, advocacy, networking, resource mobilization, capability-building, and the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of development projects for sustainability and self-reliance

Ø      serve as a vehicle for initiating and supporting activities addressing the needs of informal workers in its local chapters all over the country.


GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

Our Goals

·         To promote national unity among home-based workers along with the struggle of the Filipino people for national freedom; and

·         To strive for social security and social emancipation of Filipino home-based workers.

Our Objectives

·         To organize and link up all informal workers from village to national level.

·         To resolutely network with as many non-government organizations and people ’s organizations at national and international levels

·         To assist in the training of informal workers, especially women, in all fields including science and technology

·         To act as an effective channel of support services and sustainability of their initiatives and projects.

·         To contribute to the development of our national economy through formation of socio-economic projects like cooperatives and banks.

·         To actively participate in the formulation and implementation of a Magna Carta for informal workers and other laws affecting their interests.

·         To actively participate in all actions regarding national and international issues affecting the informal workers and the Filipino people in general.
