Here's a few recipes i found that are delicious yet simple to make. I found them all over the net.

Oriental Chicken

  • 2 Pounds of Chicken
  • ¼ Oil
  • 1 Tbspn Garlic Chopped
  • ½ Cup Onions Chopped
  • 1 Tbsp Ginger, Sliced
  • 1 Piece Star Anise
  • 2 Tbspns Brown Sugar
  • ¼ Cup Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tbspns Oyster Sauce
  • ¼ Cup Honey
  • ¼ Cup Water
  • 1 Tbsp Cherry or Cooking Wine
  • 1 Piece Red Chilli Pepper (Optional)

Cooking Instructions:

  • Heat a pan and put Oil, Garlic, Ginger, Star Anise, Brown Sugar, Soy Sauce, Oyster Sacue, Honey, Water, Cooking Wine and Pepper. This will be the sauce.
  • Put the 2 pounds of Chicken in the pot and let it simmer for atleast 15 minutes. No need to fully cook the chicken. Simmering the chicken will add flavor to the skin.
  • After simmering the chicken, take it out of the Sauce. Heat a pan of oil and fry the chicken to a crisp. Leave the Sauce in the pan, as it will be used later.
  • While the chickens are frying, put the sauce back onto the stove and heat it up again. Mix in Corn Starch and Water until the Sauce is smooth then let it boil. If the sauce is too thick, add water until it's smooth.
  • Put the sauce on a Plate and take the Fried Chicken on to the Plate with the sauce.
  • Serve Hot.

Crispy Chicken

  • Chicken (Your choice of Quantity)
  • Butter Milk (Enough to Soak all the chicken)
  • Oregano (Dried or Fresh)
  • Corn Flakes
  • Parmegean Cheese (Grated)
  • Dijon Mustard (whole grain preferable)
  • Egg Substitute Mixture for Egg Wash (Use Regular Egg Wash if Egg Substitute is unavailable)
  • Oil Spray - Canola or Olive oil (Optional if your baking)

Cooking Instructions:

  • Soak the Chicken in Butter Milk and put it in the Fridge. Soaking it in Buttermilk will add flavor as well as tenderizes the chicken.
  • To make the Crumb Mix, put a handfull of Corn Flakes in a bowl, Oregano and Parmegean Cheese. Adjust amount of parmegean cheese, corn flakes and oregano according to your taste and the amount of chicken. mix all the ingredients in the bowl.
  • To make the Egg Wash, put egg substitute or regular egg wash in a bowl. Add Dijon Mustard and mix. Adjust the Mustard according to your taste.
  • Take out the Butter Milk soaked chicken. Dip in Egg Wash thoroughly then coat the chicken with the Crumb Mix.
  • If your baking, spray the chicken for 1 second for an extra crisp.
  • Put the chicken in the Oven on 400° - 450° or Deep Fry it.

NOTE: You can Fry or Bake the chicken. If you wish for a Healthier meal, use Substitute Egg wash, remove the skins on the chicken and Bake it in the oven.
