Cockpits

There are atleast three or four local cockpits that I know of within the La Union, Sto. Tomas area. I don't know their names but they're easy to find. If you see a group of vehicles, trycicles or people gathering then i can assure you that its a cockpit.

Rosario area. I haven't seen the pit in Rosario but i think it's located along the North Express Way, I think. About fifteen minutes drive from Rosario is Damortis then after that its Patac, Sto. Tomas.

Sto. Tomas area, there's a cockpit called the Talogtog Cockpit. Owned and operated by Eddie Larosa. We won a lot of hack fights here but our memorable moments were when we entered a 2 bird legband derby. Our broodcock won with ease here against an ex-mayor. The second bird lost, that one we borrowed from the pits owner. The only problem with that cockpit is that it's located within the barangay and not along the Highway. Just stop at the Sto. Tomas crossing and tell the tricycle driver to take you to the Talogtog Cockpit.

If you go further down the expressway, towards Baguio City, theres the Agoo Cockpit. It's along the Marcos Highway. It's easy to find and readily accesible to any cockers. The Farms Broodcock won its first pitting here against a Judge's bird.

Now if you go a little further from the Agoo Cockpit towards Baguio City is the Pugo Cockpit. That place is always packed. The last time I was there, there were about fifty hackfights lined up. We haven't fought there but in due time, when all the stags are all grown up we might give it a "visit".
