BIOGRAPHY
Reverend Coletta L. Jones

======================
Pastor Coletta L. Jones was born in Washington, D.C. to Bishop Raymond and Elder Burnetta Jones.  She is married to her husband of 38 years, Co-Pastor Ronald P. Jones and they are the proud parents of four children and 9 grandchildren. Pastor Jones attended the District of Columbia Public Schools and further her knowledge of God by attending Morgan State University and Columbia Union College majoring in Religious Studies.

In 1964, she accepted the Lord Jesus as Savior and in 1972 was called to the ministry and preached her initial sermon in September of that year. Pastor Jones has served in many areas and offices at Mount Carmel Christian Faith Center (formerly known as New Mount Carmel Holiness Church of Christ) for 44 years. In November 1991 God appointed her Prophet of the House (Mount Carmel) and in 1996 she received a prophetic word that she now walks in the Apostolic and Prophetic ministries. The mantel of Pastor was passed to her from her father, Bishop Raymond Jones, Sr. in October of 1997.

Pastor Jones is a non-compromising woman of God on whom the anointing rests heavily.  Operating in many gifts of the spirit and the five-fold ministry, she is a noted Evangelist who has a message for Women of Color and The Black Man. She is not afraid to speak out on issues for which she has a strong conviction even though others may not agree with her. Her ability to bring out hidden truths from scriptures has given her ministry a delightful freshness. Her revolutionary style of preaching has destroyed many myths and strongholds associated with Christianity and the Body of Christ.

Pastor Jones is continuing to organize the ministry of Mount Carmel Christian Faith Center as they Rebuild the City One Generation at a Time.  Her vision is to build a community-oriented church focusing on the whole person and establishing ministries that address social problems, as well as the spiritual decay of the Black communities.
