CHAPTER THREE
STUDENTS
3.1 STUDENTS
People falling into the categories of Early Youth, Senior Youth and College/Career are invited to participate as students in Trinity Youth Ministries.
3.1.1 Early Youth
Early Youth consists of all students who have completed their Sixth Grade year of education and who have not yet been promoted to Senior Youth.
3.1.2 Senior Youth
Senior Youth consists of all students who have completed their Eighth Grade year of education and who have not yet completed their secondary education or have not reached their 18th birthday.
3.1.3 College/Career
College/Career consists of those students who have competed their secondary education and who have not yet reached their 23rd Birthday.
3.2 EXPECTATIONS OF STUDENTS
3.2.1 Basic Expectations
Students choosing to participate in the activities of Trinity Youth Ministries will be expected to:
  • Act in a respectful way to other participants
  • Respect and cooperate with Ministry Staff
  • Treat the property of others with respect
  • Obey all rules specified for the activities of which they are a part
  • Report any suspicions of suicidal impulses of any participants to the Youth Pastor, Senior Pastor or other ministry staff.
3.2.2 Basic Prohibitions
At all Trinity Youth Ministry Functions students shall not be permitted to:
  • Be abusive, whether physically or emotionally, to those around them
  • Listen to any music not classified as Christian on a device that can be heard by more than one person, unless that music has been approved by the program director
  • Possess any illegal drugs, tobacco, alcohol or weapons. Any prescription medications need to be given to the Program Director.
  • Use language or discuss topics that are vulgar, profane or obscene.
  • Excessive Public Displays of Affection
  • Wear clothing that is seriously immodest.
3.2.3 Ultimate Prohibitions
While certain violations of basic expectations and prohibitions may be dealt with in a way deemed appropriate by the Program Directors and Sponsors, certain things will not be tolerated in the least. Such things will lead to immediate dismissal from the Youth Ministry Activities and may result in further restrictions. These Ultimate Prohibitions are:
  • Sexual Harassment
  • Physical Assault
  • Excessive Emotional Abuse
