| Destination: Kay and Miguel�s House Time: Around 8:45 pm Date: Christmas Eve (Miguel is just coming out of the shower) Miguel: (Looking at the clock) 15 minutes until 9:00. Whether he shows up or not is going to change my entire life. (He pulls out some clothes in his closet) Meanwhile Downstairs Kay: (Looking out the window) How could Miguel do this to me again? He said he broke it off with that girl. (Pause) Wait a minute. I don�t even remember meeting this woman yet. Who could she be? (FLASHBACK) On the Ananda Lewis Show Ananda: Okay� Let�s bring out Miguel� (Miguel comes out and the audience boos him) Miguel: You know what� all of you can just go to hell. Shut up!!! Kay: Don�t yell at the audience Miguel� it�s your fault for cheating on me with another woman�. Miguel: (Sitting down) Kay� I promise you� there is no other woman� I swear!!! Kay: Then how come when I called this number� a woman answered� she told me that you were at her house yesterday morning, and that you slept together. Miguel: Kay� I wish I could explain but I can�t� your just going to have to believe me. Jessica: You know Miguel�. Kay is right! I was there when she called this lady. Just admit you are cheating on her and we can all leave here in peace. Ananda: So Miguel� are you going to admit that you are cheating on her. Miguel: No� because I didn�t do anything!!!! Ananda: There is only one way I can think to fix this problem� Kay do you still have the phone number? Kay: Um� yeah I think I do. Why? Ananda: Do you think you can call this number on our speakerphone so the entire audience can listen? Kay: You know� that is a good idea. Miguel: Oh no� Kay: �Oh no� what, Miguel? Are you worried that your little girlfriend is going to answer? Miguel: Kay� put the phone down� you have to believe me. I�m not cheating on you with another woman!! I promise you� Kay: Yeah� well right now your promises mean nothing to me. (She dials the phone number) Ananda: Okay everyone. It�s ringing so be quiet so we can all listen in. (The phone rings and a woman answers) Lady: Hello? Kay: (Looking at Miguel) CUT SCENE TO: Kay: Tell me� who is it� how long have you been sleeping with her� is it somebody I know? Maybe it�s that Susie girl down the street. I always that she was a slut. Miguel: NO!!!!! Kay: Then which girl was it? Gwen or some other lady!!! Miguel: That�s it!!! I�m not cheating on you with another woman!! You know why� because it�s not a girl it�s a guy!! (The audiences� jaws drop) Audience: Oooohhh�. Kay: What? Jessica: I can�t believe this� Kay. He was telling the truth the whole time� he�s not cheating on you with another woman� he�s cheating on you with another man. Miguel: (With his hands over his face) I can�t believe I just said that! Kay: No!!! No!!! It�s just an excuse� he�s lying! It�s just an excuse. Miguel: No Kay. I�m not lying this time� it�s true. I�m Gay� Kay: Who is he? (In tears as the audience is in a deep silence) Miguel: I don�t think I should tell you� it might� Kay: Who is he Miguel? Miguel: Okay� I�ll tell you. Jessica: Kay� maybe it is best that you don�t know. Kay: No� I have to know it is. So Miguel� who is this guy� Miguel: Qlinn Goldheart. (FLASHBACK ENDS) Kay: No! Miguel couldn�t be gay. He was just using that as an excuse. (Pause) Right? (Miguel comes down the stairs in a nice pair of jeans and the red turtle neck sweater Kay bought him for Christmas Last year.) Miguel: Kay� you�ve been standing by that window since I left. Is something wrong? Kay: Uh. No. I just hope that everything goes okay tonight. Miguel: I�m sure it will. (He kisses her) Kay: Miguel�. You�re wearing the sweater I got you for Christmas last year! (FLASHBACK) Miguel, Kay, Reese, Jessica, Simone, Theresa, Luis, and Sheridan are all gathered at Kay and Miguel�s house back at their Christmas Eve Party in 2005. Jessica: Now remember! We all get to open one gift tonight. Miguel: Kay� why don�t you open my gift first. Kay: Here Miguel� I want you to open my Christmas gift first. Miguel: No. I�d rather have you open yours first. Kay: Yeah. But I really think you should open yours first, though. Luis: Will you both just shut up and open them at the same time. (Everyone laughs as they both open their presents) Miguel: A sweater�. Kay: Wow. Miguel. What is this? (She pulls out very nice silky blue lingerie) Jessica: Wow. That is sexy. Kay: What? (She looks at the tag) Geneva�s Wardrobe! Oh my god Miguel� do you know how much this cost! Miguel: Actually. It didn�t cost me anything. Theresa just signed a contract with Geneva�s Wardrobe. And this is her first design. Theresa: It�s only a 2 year contract. I want to make enough money to open my own wardrobe company. Kay: Oh. Theresa. Thank you! It�s lovely. Theresa: Miguel gave me the idea. Kay: Miguel� this is such a coincidence. Miguel: Why? Kay: Because. I had Theresa design that sweater. Miguel: Hah. What? Miguel and Kay: Why didn�t you tell me? Theresa: I didn�t want to ruin the surprise. Reese: You know you guys. This is the first Christmas we�ve ever spent together without anything evil or bad happening. Miguel: I know. It�s been a while since something evil has happened to us. Jessica: Actually. I think all of this evil stopped after Charity died. Miguel: Are you saying that Charity was a jinx? Jessica: No. Of course not. She was a perfect cousin. My only cousin. (They all smile except Kay) (THE FLASHBACK ENDS) Kay: Miguel. I have a question to ask you. Miguel: Yeah. What is it? Kay: If � Charity hadn�t have died that night we went to St. Tyler�s Cliff, would you have married me? Miguel: (Pause) Yes. Of course I would. Kay: What took you so long answering me, Miguel? Miguel: Kay. I can�t really say� nothing really makes sense to me any more. My life is miserable enough as it is. Please don�t ask me that kind of question. Kay: Okay. Well if you can�t answer that question then answer me this questions! Who the hell do you think you are, Miguel! (Raising her voice) Miguel: What? Kay: Remember 2 weeks ago when we were on the Ananda Lewis show� you admitted to the entire world that you were gay. Miguel: Yeah. (Getting nervous) Kay: I over heard you on the phone� (Miguel is quiet) Kay: What�s wrong Miguel? Are you afraid that your little secret is out? (The doorbell rings) Kay: (She looks at him angrily and opens the door) (Simone, Jessica, Carrie, and Reese come in) Kay: Reese� I thought you were missing! Simone: So did I. Carrie: Hi. I�m Qlinn Gold hearts sister. Carrie is the name. Kay: Yeah. I think we�ve met before. Carrie: Oh really. Then you won�t mind me being here. (Carrie sits down on the couch next to Miguel) Carrie: So� you�re Luis�s brother, are yah? Miguel: Yes. (They both start a conversation as Reese, Jessica, Simone, and Kay argue about something) Carrie: Is he showing up tonight? Miguel: He should be here about 10:00 or so. Carrie: Oh. Another hour! Miguel: (Looking at the clock, depressed) uh-ha Carrie: Oh. What�s wrong sweetheart? Miguel: I�m having women trouble� and man trouble. (Laughing in his pity.) Carrie: Excuse me? You lost me there. Why don�t you tell me about it. Miguel: I�m not use to opening up to strangers. Carrie: Oh. I don�t mind. Who knows? I might even be able to help you. Miguel: Okay. I will. (Miguel and Carrie go into the kitchen) Miguel: 4 years ago my girl friend died. Well at least I thought she was my girlfriend. Anyway. She died later on I fell in love with Kay Bennett. Who happened to be the girl�s cousin? Carrie: Sounds like one of those classic love triangles from those soap opera�s. Miguel: What? No� I don�t think it was like that. I just fell for Kay the night we got home. FLASHBACK Miguel: What is it Kay? (Miguel leans up against the desk in question) Miguel: Well? Kay: Oh Miguel. (Kay Leans over top of Miguel and Kisses him and never letting go, then she decides to take off his shirt) (Miguel let's Kay take off his shirt in silence and Kay continues to Kiss Miguel) Kay: Tell me this isn't a dream.... Miguel: It's not a dream. FLASHBACK ENDS (Miguel continues the story of his life , then 5 minutes later) Carrie: Wow. So you have to chose whether you should be with my brother or with Kay? Miguel: I didn�t think you knew that your brother was gay. Carrie: Let�s just say a little witch told me. Miguel: SO what do you think that I should do then? Carrie: Oh. Honey. You�re asking the wrong girl. I guess you should just follow what�s in your heart. Test them both. See which one you love the most. I gotta get back out there. I�ll see yah around. (Carrie leaves the kitchen) Carrie: Hmm� poor guy. Oh my god! (She remembers that Qlinn is still unconscious) If Qlinn doesn�t show up tonight. It could change Miguel�s life. I can�t be responsible for that. (She looks at her watch) 8:56! Oh man. Hmm� I have some time before Luis gets here anyway. I better help Miguel out. (She leaves the house) Miguel: Hmm�.
