Chapter Four
Miguel, tell me whats going on. Why are you here? Kay is getting tired of him hesitating. Miguel couldnt get the words to escape from his mouth but hes going to try; although it might make Kay hate him. Well? She waited on him to respond.

Well . . . I wanted to say that I never meant to startle you two days ago about us. Kay, I just been thinking about you lately and I cant seem to get you out of mind. For the longest, Ive been contemplating on what couldve been if you and I were still together. Kay, I miss you. I miss talking to you. I hate it that were not being civil towards each other. You looked so beautiful that night. I wish I could hold you in my arms. I know you think about me. Dont deny it, Kay. A part of me . . .

Kay rudely intervened on his sentence. Miguel, I dont wanna hear it! You had had your chance with me! Youve made your choice when you left me on that damned alter! Our lives have changed completely. Dont tell me on what you missed out on. Its bull crap and you know it! Get out of my damned house and dont ever talk to me about this ever again! She blazed on him.

Miguel heard her; however, he wasnt going to leave until he get his point across. Kay, Im not going anywhere. He vehemently replied. Not until you hear me out . . . He firmly asserted. Kay, at night when I lay downI cant let you escape from my mind; whenever I make love to Charity; I see your face. I fantasize about all the things you would do to me. The way you move when my body join with yoursits incredible. I love the way you scream out my name; giving into all of your most guilty and intimate pleasure that quenches your thirst and appeases your hunger. Kay, do you know how much I ache for you? Do you know how much I yearn for your touch, just to hold you in my arms?

Do you know whenever I lay my eyes on you, theres this tingling sensation rushing up and down my spine? I quiver whenever I think about you. Your soft lips pressing against my hot skin and ease the agony I feel when youre away from me; I cant take it. Its driving me insane. Kay, just tell me you contemplate on all the times weve spent together? Tell me you want to give us a try? Miguels eyes pleaded for her permission.

Miguel . . . Baffled as she is, Kay doesnt know how to remark on everything he revealed to her. Dont conceal it . . Dont pretend like it doesnt matter to you. Miguel pleaded as she goggled her eyes on his once more. Miguel, I dont know! She exasperated. All this talking is perplexing meleaving me speechless! I cant concentrate like this! Just go before I change my mind! She buried her face in her hands. Miguel forced her off of the couch and emerged a passionate kiss on her. Kay felt herself melting and she couldnt pull back; she didnt want to. Everything he is doing to her is making her weak in the knees; trembling at his very desire to be with her. This is all she can feel for Miguel: passion, lust, love, and desire. How her body craves for him; longing to be with him; yearning to make love to him; tasting his skin. Whats a girl to do, when she is married to a wonderful man and hungering for another?

Finally, she freed herself from his mighty embrace. Miguel, go. Please, leave. Kay felt her knees giving out on her; conversely, Miguel refused to move until he hear her words. Miguel? What more could you want? You got your kiss. I think its best you should leave before my husband comes home. Kay told him. Kay, please consider on what Ive told you. I need your input. Everything you say to mematters to me. Miguel left immediately. Kay doesnt know what to do; subsequently, she went to her room to lay down and gather her cerebration from Miguels unexpected kiss. The next day, Kay and Eric are ready to go see Charity and Miguel. Eric, darling are you ready? Kay called out from the other room while holding Madeline. Yea, honey. Im coming. Eric said as he walked in fixing his tie. You look great. And so do you, Madeline. Eric kissed his wife and daughter on the cheek. They all left the house and they are on their way to Miguel and Charitys house. Eric pulled his Mercedes Benz in the driveway. Kay, why are we here? Whose house is this? Eric came out with all the questions. Eric, Ill explain it to you in a minute. Were running late. Lets get out of the car and go in, OK? Kay blinked at him.

Eric knew better than to wrangle with Kay; its pointless. They stand in front of door as Kay rings the doorbell; waiting for Charity to answer it. Kay! Im so glad you could make it! Charity enfolded Kay with family love. Eric? Charity said barely. What is he doing here, Kay? She narrowed her eyes at her cousin. Charity, this is my husband. Remember? Youre ex-boyfriend? Kay pointed out. Tight lipped as Charity may seem, deep down she still have some feelings for Eric whether or not she like to grant it. With his adroitness and charisma; it is hard to resist Eric. Kay
has it all. Charitys grim expression lightened half-heartedly.

Are we just gonna stand here or are we coming in? Kay quizzed her. Come in. Charity had a sense guilt trampling down her exuberant spirit. Miguel, look whos here. Kay and Eric. Charity told him. Miguel is stunned to see Kay with Eric. He knew that she was married but Kay never mentioned anything to him about her being married to Eric. This scenery has totally blown him away. Youre here for our sons birthday party? Miguel paraded a faux grin.

Yes, thats right . . . Eric answered cooly. Hope it is not a problem? He lifted a brow. Not a problem at all. Miguel mutteredKay watched their sullen countenances the men are trading towards one anotherCharity decided to get her son.

Want to meet Joseph? Charity held her son tightly. Kay smiled and came up to them. Aw, isnt he cute? Kay expressed delightfully.

Yeah, he is. Miguel said while holding Charity adoringly.

Eric walked towards the party and wanted to see Charitys little bundle of joy. May I hold him? He asked. Charity consented his wish as Kay carefully handed Joseph to Eric. Miguel, Charity, and Kay noticed how still he was when Eric held him. Wow, Miguel. Hes good with our son. Charity whispered. Miguel grumbled something but Charity couldnt make out of what he said.

May I have him back now? Miguels voice had a trace of acridity and Eric had an intuition that Miguel is not comfortable with the idea of Eric holding his son.

Joseph started to cry again and he wouldnt stop until Charity pacified him back to his typical self. Kay observed meticulously. Something doesnt add up. She whispered amongst herself. Charity, who does Joseph remind you of? Kay started. I dont knowweve been trying to figure that out since he was born. Charity smiled and looked at her precious boy. Simone, Jessica, Reese, Theresa, and Ethan joined the others after they were conversing in Miguel and Charitys kitchen.

Theresa, who does Joseph look like to you? Kay mused. Theresa took a glance at her nephew and she looked at Miguel and Charity. She wanted to say he look like Miguel or Charity; contrary to what she is really feeling, she cant really explain.

Eric fixed his eyes on Joseph and smiled as Joseph waved at him. Miguel, we need to talk. Eric, can you hold him for a second? Charity handed Joseph over to Eric before he uttered a word. Reese examined the baby attentively. You know who Joseph remind me of? He remind me of Eric. Kay dropped her glass and remained frozen. Run that by me again? Kay replied hoarsely. Thats who I think Joseph look like. He remind me of Eric. He even has Erics green eyes. Reese continued. Kay doesnt want to believe Reeseso she treaded her way over to Eric and the baby. She eyed the gleeful child intently. Golly, could dork face be right? Does Joseph resemble my husband? He does have Erics eyes and smile. Kay fancied for a moment.

Simone walked over to Kay. Kay, I know that look, what are you thinking? She whispered to Kay. Kay was a little startled by Simones intervening. Nothing, Simone. Just having R & R time. Kays reply sounded a little flat.

Unbelievable.

Damn it, Simone. I dont wanna hear your bitching about me trying to drive a wedge between Charity and Miguel. If you think I am then you couldnt be more wrong. She stated boldly. Really? Why is it that Im not so convinced by your action? Simone remarked coldly. Put a sock in it. Kay hissed.

Reese glanced at Kays daughterhe stepped up to Kay and Simone. Kay, has anyone ever told you that Madeline reminds you of a Lopez-Fitzgerald? When Simone heard Reeses question, she spit out drink immediately. Reese, I think you had too much to drink. Lets not ruin Charity and Miguels evening, all right? Simone dragged him away from the paralyzed Kay who is mesmerized by Reeses comment from earlier. I got to see if there is any truth to Reeses conclusion. Kay think, think what would be a good motive for you to search for the answers you need. Kay contemplated long and hard of what to do next.
