12/08/03 PARTINGTON PATHETIC 4 PREMIUM GEEST 6
'same old same old' as Pathetic struggle to get players, again only getting a bare minimum 6 against a squad of 8 fit players. Pathetic showed their class in the first half leading 3 - 0 at the interval but the pace and heat soon told and Geest ended up winning the game but not as convincingly as they should have as we saw a man of the match debut from Steve in goals for Pathetic. As for relegation fears these were quelled with the realisation that GJC had not even turned up for their game so they were relegated and Pathetic stay up. Watch out Teasers!
05/08/03 PARTINGTON PATHETIC 3 JACKSON SIX 8
The scoreline doesn't tell the whole story. This was a gallant effort by the Pathetic lads in temperatures approaching 100 degrees only 5 players could be mustered due to injuries and holidays and Paul M was one of the 5 who had to play in nets as he still had a badly injured ankle. Needless to say the top of the league side won the game but Pathetic can not be blamed for lack of effort. However this leaves Partington in a dire position going in to the last match of the season next week. they are 3rd from bottom 3 points ahead of GJC and CO which means if Pathetic lose their last game and GJC win theirs then Pathetic are relegated. Don't say fcuk or bugger.
29/07/03 PARTINGTON PATHETIC 2 THE GRIFFIN 7
Not a lot can be said really the odds were stacked against Pathetic from the Off. Stewart was injured and had to sit out the game so did Chris (Steve Austin we can rebuild him) Thompson. so with only 6 men and with Trevor behind the sticks things couldn't get worse. But they did and just after half time Paul M got a bad ankle injury and had to replace Trevor in goals who was also slightly injured. Very forgetful and a further slide down the table for Pathetic.
22/07/03  PARTINGTON PATHETIC 0 HYDE FLOORING 4
Considering Hyde gave Pathetic their biggest defeat of 12 - 1 earlier in the season , this can be looked at as a very decent performance by the lads. In fact all Pathetic were bothered about was getting off the pitch at the end with all limbs still in tact. Hyde seemed intent in intimidating Pathetic with every tackle if you can call them tackles they simply tried to kick Pathetic off the pitch but we were not intimidated and with 1 minute to go some great acting deserving of an oscar for Trev earned 2 Hyde players there marching orders but there was not enough time left to take advantage of the numbers. Thankfully pathetic won't have to meet Hyde again next season they'll have either been promoted or chucked out of the league completely.
15/7/03  PARTINGTON PATHETIC 6 STRETFORD REJECTS 3
The most satisfying victory of the season for Pathetic with just 6 players available it looked ominous up against the team that earlier in the season had smashed Pathetic 6 - 2.
Trevor was playing his first full game of the season and suffered slightly towards the end of the game.  By half-time Stretford were 3 - 2 up and looked a lot fresher than Pathetic as they were rotating betwen 8 players where as Pathetic had no option byut to carry on with a very tired 6 players.
But what a fantastic display in the second half. Thanks to some great goalkeeping from Stewart the Rejects didn't score again and the 5 Pathetic outfield players gave every last drop of sweat as they swept forward to crush the opposition 4 reat goals from Pete and 1 each for Wayne and Duncan sealed a victory which must secure Pathetic's place in this league for next season.
8/7/03   PARTINGTON PATHETIC 3 UNICORN 4
Over the last few weeks Pathetic have tumbled from mid table stability into what could be a traumatic relegation battle as they slipped into the bottom 3 following this defeat.
It's quite clear that scoring goals is the problem with a blank scoreline last week and no goals again at half time as Unicorn lead 1-0. And but for a brave disply by Stewart in goals the score could have been more severe.
It didn't get any better in the second half the team completely lost it's shape and with just 7 minutes to go Pathetic were 4-0 down.
73 minutes without scoring a goal.
However in a spirited end to the game Pathetic managed to score 3 times but inevitably ran out of time and lost by the odd goal in 7.
There is a call from the players for perhaps  a change in tactics, and we could  see the new Mutant X factor formation employed in next weeks game against Stretford Rejects. When at least the team should have a full squad to choose from apart from long term absentee Chris S.
