| 1st July 2003 PARTINGTON PATHETIC 0 M & A BROWN 4 | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| So this is why we're called Pathetic. It was a glimpse of reality for the lads as they slumped to a defeat at the hands of a team they had already beat this season. The team were without Duncan and Wayne and so Trevor, after announcing his shock retirement from International football the week before, made his long awaited comeback playing half the game. At half time it was goalless and things looked promising but the lack of stamina in this aging side showed in the second half and Pathetic can have no arguments about the result. Even the Americans have stopped watching us. Team - Stewart, Trevor, Pete, Paul M, Paul E, Dave & Chris T |

| 24th June 2003 PARTINGTON PATHETIC 2 NORTHERN MONKEYS 0 | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 'Just like real football' is what the pundits were saying, Pathetic's first clean sheet and their 3rd win on the trot sees them march on to mid table mediocrity. With a back 3 marshalled by Paul M and Stewart, safe as ever between the sticks, and Chris T was outstanding as Pathetic never looked like conceding and with 2 great goals, the first a pile driver from Duncan and then what could be the goal of the season Dave jinked past the defender to curl an unstoppable shot into the bottom corner 'The Only Way is Up (Yazz 1988}. Team - Stewart, Pete, Paul M, Paul E, Duncan, Dave, Chris T & Wayne |

| 17th June 2003 PARTINGTON PATHETIC 5 GJC AND CO 3 | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| With an available squad of 8 fit players Trevor was able to rest his injury and conjure from the touchline a majestic tactical display from Pathetic which was the best of the season so far. Pathetic ran the game from the start and there were some outstanding saves from the opposition custodian to keep Pathetic from romping into the lead. Totally against the run of play however GJC scored first. An unfortunate own goal scored by The Milky Bar Kid who, minutes later, was sidelined for the rest of the half as he took a piledriver to the knackers (lets hope they're better for when Susie comes over from America this weekend). Pathetic soon equalised with a sweeping move, Pete fed Wayne who picked out Duncan on the left to drill the ball into the corner of the net. Wayne got a contraversial second for Pathetic, with the opposition claiming the striker was in the area when he shot. The protests were waived away from a referee, who's display on the night was very poor. Pete put Pathetic further ahead just before half time with a shot the keeper should have held. There was no further score in the second half until 7 minutes left. Just prior to this Pete had been fouled and retaliated so was pulled off by Trevor (But that's a different story). Soon after GJC scored a second and with 5 minutes to go the home crowd were getting nervous. With Pete chomping at the bit to get back on Trevor released him back into the frey and within a minute he drove in a pile driver to make it 4-2 and then completed his hat-trick by nutmegging the goalkeeper to make it 5 but not before GJC had nicked their third. So Pathetic march on and with 12 points so far this season this should see them in 5th place once the tables are issued. And with 2 wins out of 2 in June surely Boswell will be in the running for Manager of the Month. 'Teasers' here we come. Team - Stewart, Pete Paul M, Paul E, Duncan, Dave, Chris T, & Wayne |

| 10th June 2003 PARTINGTON PATHETIC 6 PREMIUM GEEST 4 | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Just when it was looking like Pathetic would never win another game. Up pops their third win of the season. And without the services of the boy Wylie who was on a Parents Evening ??? and Chris S still out with fluid on the knee, and Chris T out with Pnuemonia (Wuss!!!). Wayne who was yet to play in the JJB league for Pathetic was drafted in and produced a 4 goal Salvo to boost Pathetic towards mid table safety. Pathetic were 2-0 down in the first 10 minutes but by half time were level at 2-2. They went down 4-2 with about 15 minutes to go. Boswell (still hampered by a groin injury) came on for a 15 minute run and inspired a great fightback. and at the end Pathetic were worthy winners. Stewart was star man in nets closely followed by Wayne. Dave and Paul M scored the other 2 goals. This is now half way through the season and Pathetic look like they will now be able to go forward and consolidate their place in this division this season with a push for promotion more likely next season. |

| 3rd June 2003 PARTINGTON PATHETIC 3 JACKSON SIX 6 | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Prior to this game The Jackson Six had won all their games apart from one which they'd drawn CHAMON. So Pathetic could have been looking at a drubbing. But with Stuart making his debut in goals and a griitty performance from the lads the score was kept respectable with the better team winning in the end CHAMON. The Pathetic goals were scored by Pete 2 and Paul M. CHAMON | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| 27th May 2003 PARTINGTON PATHETIC 6 THE GRIFFIN 7 | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Pathetic inexplicably gave away 2 leads in this match to fall to there 5th defeat in 7 games. Amazingly within 5 minutes Pathetic were 3 - 0 up with some fantastic shooting from Paul M, Duncan and Pete. But some very bad defending which saw Pathetic totally lose their shape soon saw the opposition score 3 goals to even it at 3 - 3 with only 10 minutes gone. Paul M scored his second but it was soon 4 - 4 at half time. Pathetic buckled down early on in the second half and scored twice through Duncan and Dave and with 7 minutes to go it looked like they were heading for victory. But naive defending saw Pathetic crash to defeat, the opposition scored 3 late goals which Paul E, who performed heroics in goal all night, had no chance of saving. |
