Ordering Information
Orders may be placed by telephone, fax, mail, or email. If not placed by phone, your order will be confirmed within 24 hours by telephone.  Please place your order at least 3 (three) business days prior to your event.  Large orders or orders for complete contract events should be placed as soon as you know about it.
Contract Terms
1. This Contract. Every effort has been made by Parties by Design (hereinafter �PbD�) to thoroughly and accurately represent the understanding between PbD and the client. The client is solely responsible for carefully reading this contract and apprising PbD of any and all changes, errors, and omissions. PbD will not be responsible for any changes to this contract given orally or by external document and not recorded in this contract.
2.
Deposit Events. A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a date. An additional 50% deposit on the total contract is required upon the signing of the contract, half of which is refundable in the event of a cancellation at least 10 days prior to the event. No portion of this deposit is refundable in the event of a cancellation 9 days or less prior to the event. Orders may not be decreased within 10 days of the event; however, orders may be increased at the discretion of PbD. Payment in full is required no later than three days prior to the event. The final payment is to be in cash or certified funds, unless other arrangements are made. A minimum of 5 business day�s notice is required to change service staff.
3.
Non-Deposit Events. 48 business hours notice is required to decrease orders or cancel events. A minimum of 5 business day�s notice is required to cancel or reduce service staff.
4.
Service Staff. Additional service charges will apply for service staff kept beyond the stated time limit pursuant to the stated contract rates. It is the client�s sole responsibility to see that staff is dismissed by the stated end time.
5.
Additional Beverages & Supplies. Client authorizes PbD to purchase on client's behalf additional beverages and supplies as required to keep the party running smoothly until closing time.
6.
Leftovers. All leftover finished foods are the property of the client. Ingredients and raw materials remain the property of PbD. Leftover beverages provided by PbD pursuant to a flat or hourly rate remain the property of PbD. Leftover beverages sold on the contract by bottle or can remain the property of the client.
7.
Disputes. In the event of a dispute arising from this contract, the venue for the resolution of the dispute shall be Davidson County, Tennessee.
8.
Attorneys Fees. In the event that PbD is required to undertake legal action to collect payment, client agrees to pay reasonable attorney fees and court costs.
9.
Late Charges.  It is the client�s sole responsibility to contact PbD in the event of a last-minute situation/emergency.  If client or client�s representative is not at the site on time to receive the delivery, PbD will charge a late fee, for loss of time, which is due and payable in cash upon arrival.  Five minutes is the grace period.  On the sixth minute, $5 for every five minutes late will be charged.  After 20 late minutes, PbD reserves the right to leave the sight, with the order.  PbD will make every attempt to maintain the quality and temperature of all foods, cookies, and/or cakes being delivered, but, in this situation, we cannot be held responsible for the condition or appearance of said foods, cookies, and/or cakes, particularly in extreme weather or circumstances. No refunds given.
MINIMUMS. There is a minimum order of $10 for catering on weekdays, $15 on weekends. We prefer to schedule weekend deliveries between 8am and 12pm so that afternoons and evenings are free for staffed events.  For more complex orders involving our staffing and managing the event, we can only handle so many such orders and therefore have stricter minimum requirements. Because of the time we must put into planning and managing the event, we ask that you order all foods and beverages from us. If you must furnish certain foods and/or beverages on your own, we may charge handling/corkage fees. Generally, our menu minimums encourage ordering for groups of 10 or more. Smaller orders for dinner parties, meetings, etc, can be easily arranged.
CATERING DELIVERY. With sufficient notice, we can deliver most anywhere, anytime. Simple deliveries within a several mile radius of Downtown are included in the price quote. The same deliveries on Saturdays and Sundays are $5 between the hours of 9am and 12pm. Charges for other times and for more complex deliveries involving rentals, service staff, and/or more distant locations can be substantially more and are quoted on a case by case basis. Deliveries to suburbs (Murfreesboro, Smyrna, Clarksville, Lebanon, etc) and to out of state areas such as Bowling Green, Kentucky are doable with advance notice.
GIFT BASKET/COOKIE/CAKE DELIVERY. Deliveries within a several mile radius of Downtown are between the hours of 9am and 1pm, Monday - Friday. Deliveries at other times may be doable, with advance notice, and charges, including to more distant locations, are quoted on a case by case basis. Gift baskets can be sent anywhere in the continental United States, with notice, and charges will be quoted at that time. 
RENTALS. We can rent for you a wide array of interesting linens, in solids and patterns, as well as china, silver, glassware, props, and other supplies.
SUPPLIES. Paper and plastic ware for ordered foods and beverages are available upon request at no charge with the exception of stemmed plastic wine & champagne glasses and plastic linen and ice bowl (additional charge).
SERVICE STAFF. We furnish professional staff, most of who are bartenders. Their cost is $25 per hour per staff member with a four-hour minimum for each. (Assume at least 2 hours for setup and cleanup.) Rates may double during holidays.
TIPPING. Please consider tipping the staff if you feel they have done a good job. $10-$20 per person is a common range.
PRICES, PAYMENT & DEPOSITS. Prices are subject to change without notice until contract is signed and deposit is paid. The larger of a non-refundable 10% or $100 deposit is required to hold dates for larger or staffed events.  We accept cash, local checks,  and certified checks.  All orders must be paid for in full before they can be delivered or picked up.
