| Craddock is helping two other marshal's escort |
| for trial. |

| One of the hombres overpowers and kills |
| one of the marshal's....he shoots Jack (leaving him |
| for dead) and they take the third marshal hostage. |
| meanwhile Marie is at the detachment with Clive. |
 |
 |
| She notices he is having a problem with his gun and |
| Clive explains, "I can't get the chamber to line up with |
| the barrel." |
| Finding a note on Jack's desk |
| Marie tries to translate it. |
| (without much luck). |
| "I thought his lessons were going so well." |
 |
| "It IS english you're teaching him?" Clive asks sarcastically. |
| some very bad hombres to another jurisdiction |
| Marie walks towards the door and see's Jack's riderless horse in the street....Clive finds blood on |
| saddle. |

| They find Jack badly wounded and unconcious, as well |
| as the body of the first marshal. |
 |
| Marie tends to Jack while the mountie goes after the killers. When Jack comes to he insists |
| that Clive needs his help, but Marie tells him he must lie still. |
 |
 |
| The hombres murder their hostage and |
| Clive is lead to their location by the sound |
| of the gunshot. |
| He tells them to drop their weapons...one of the men reaches |
| for his gun...and Clive shoots. |
 |
| The mountie's gun backfires, causing him |
| to loose his footing and fall over the ledge |
| behind him. He is blinded by the gunpowder. |
 |
| A young woman appears from nowhere and helps him to |
| escape the men who are intent on killing him. |
| They hide in a cave. |
 |
 |
 |
| When Marie takes Jack his lunch she discovers he's not in bed...she finds him in the office. |
| The marshal insists he is going to help the corporal. |
| Marie argues that he is still too weak. |
| Jack tells her she is under arrest and asks her |
| to lock herself in the cell..... |
| then he passes out. |
 |
| Meanwhile...Clive and Kelly are on the run. |
