| Jack manages to get to the stable and mount his horse, |
| but Marie spots him before he can leave town. |
| She catches him before he hits the ground. |
| Clive tells Kelly that she reminds him of a young woman |
| of ill repute that he used to know. He exlains that he |
| tried to help her change her ways, but when she refused, |
| he had to force the young woman out of Bordertown. |
| Before she left, she stole his mother's locket. |
| The hombres catch up to the pair soon after, Kelly shoots and kills one of them, then tries to |
| backtrack and sneak up behind the other...leaving the blinded mountie to fend for himself. |
| Just as the killer is about to pull the trigger, a gunshot is heard and he falls dead to the ground. |
| Kelly's trick has worked. |
| Arriving at the edge of town, Kelly fires her pistol to summon help. She tells Clive that it's wrong |
| to judge people, and she rips the locket from around her neck and throws it to the ground. |
| She disappears into the bush before anyone see's her. |
| Jack, Marie and several others, hear the |
| commotion and hurry to help Clive. |
| Before Marie leads him away, Clive tells |
| Jack that the girl saved his life. |
| The marshal looks around...and talking to himself, |
| asks, "What girl?" |
| Then he see's the locket in the underbrush. |
| The doctor tells the boys they need lots of rest...and suggests that Jack read to Clive. |
| After she leaves the room, Jack asks, "Yer thinkin' about her ain't ya?" |
| "She saved my life Jack." |
| "Yah, well...I'll jus' get my glasses 'n read ta ya fer a spell, that ought 'a take yer mind off 'a |
| things." |
| As Jack reaches for his glasses he see's the locket. "Ah..I found somethin' 'a her's Clive...she |
| must 'a dropped it." |
| The locket slips from Jack's hand and as it hits |
| the floor it opens and begins playing music. |
| Hearing the music, Clive knows that it's his mother's locket. He also realizes that the woman |
| who saved his life is the same woman he ran out of Bordertown. |
