Fools Gold
This was not a great episode and the photographs are not good quality. The lighting on some
of the indoor scenes was very poor.
The box social dance is being held at the hall. The fiddler announces last dance. Jack jumps up to
ask Marie to dance, Clive steps up and asks her as well.
"I asked her first Clive."
"No you didn't Jack!"
They push each other, Clive turns to Marie and tells her she'll have to choose. She gets mad
and walks away from them both. Just then a shot is heard and an old prospector falls inside.
Marie tends to the old man.
Jack: "Wonder who shot him?"  "If you're so concerned why don't you follow him Jack?"
"It ain't my jurisdiction."
"That's never stopped you before."
The next morning Clive finds Marie packing camp gear on her horse.
"Where you going Marie?"
"That's none of your business, I'm a grown woman I don't need your permission. I am sick and
"What if someone needs a doctor?"
tired of you and Jack fighting all the time!"
"I'll be at the creek."
Meanwhile; Jack is having breakfast at the saloon.
His eggs are covered in sugar and his coffee has salt in it.
He asks Diane what's wrong with Dom (the cook).
She explains that Dom is sweet on Sally and he'd
like to ask her to have dinner with him, but he's
afraid Sally will turn him down.
Jack offers a word of advice to Dom.
"Look I ain't no expert or nothin', but if you
want to impress a lady, you gotta use the talents
you already got, not the ones you ain't."
Diane is also trying to teach him to dance which is
"impossible!"
Jack meets up with Clive outside the detachment, the corporal tells him Marie has gone camping.
