Fools Gold (continued)
Jack: "What, you just let her ride off?!"
"She's a grown woman Jack, she doesn't need your permission, besides she said she was sick of
of YOU fighting all the time."
Marie sets up camp and then falls asleep.
DREAM SEQUENCE: Marie hears gunshots and finds two men threatening the old prospector
Marie pulls her gun on them.
"Let him go!" (the men run off).
Marie asks old Jeremiah how long those men have been chasing him. Jeremiah asks her how
long the lawmen have been chasing her. Marie tells him her story and finishes by saying she
doesn't know how to choose between them.
Jeremiah tells her, "You gotta ask yerself which one of 'em
you'd like to be with when you're MY age."
Unknown to Marie (remember she's dreaming this),
Clive is in the bushes spying on her, Jack catches him.
"I wasn't spying Jack, I was watching HIM."
"And just coincidentily you end up watching her?"
"Coincidentily, that's a big word for you isn't
it Jack?"
The boys leave Marie's dream in an arguement and head back for town.
Marie & Jeremiah are caught in snares and the two
men return, looking for "the map."
They cut Marie down, she steals one of their guns,
in the next scene, the two men are hanging from the
snares. (this was a dumb show).
Meanwhile, back in town (and still in Marie's dream), Craddock & Bennett are getting worried.
Jack: "She shoulda been back by now."
Clive: "It's still early."
Jack" "You trust that prospector?"
Clive: "No." (They go to the rescue).
They find Marie and Jeremiah digging for gold.
What they end up finding is oil.
Thankfully Marie wakes up at this point, and we are returned to the saloon where Dom & Sally
are having a romantic dinner. Clive, Jack & Marie are also dining out.
"Dom and Sally look happy."
The piano players strikes up a tune, Sally & Dom dance.
Jack asks Marie to dance. Clive holds out his hand and asks her to dance with him. She accepts.
(aaawwww)
Marie looks at Jack and smiles, "it's only a dance Jack."
