| Members of the Fenian Brotherhood (fighting for Irish independence) come to Bordertown. |
| They are Liam's niece Kathleen, her husband Darcy, and cousin Patrick. |

| Liam is happy to see his niece after 15 years, but is concerned about |
| her involvement with the brotherhood. |
 |
| Colonel Forsythe arrives with his gopher Henry Hanks and |
| a strong box containing $5,0000. He gets Clive to lock the |
| box in one of the jail cells, and instructs Hanks to guard it. |
 |
| Bennett tells the Colonel "Marshal Craddock is here." |
| Colonel replies: "It is not his jurisdiction, thankfully the |
| marshal has no authority in Canada." |
 |
| Jack to Clive: "Hard to believe he protected Canada in |
| the last Fenian raid, he shoulda thought twice, he'd a |
| looked better in emerald green than woodpecker red." |
| Jack to Hanks: "Beef jerky?" Hanks: "No sir, my name is Henry Hanks." |

| Jack questions Hanks about the money and |
| learns that Colonel Forsythe has been docking |
| his men's pay for years, and plans to use it to |
| to set up an estate for his men to work on when |
| they muster out. |

| "Don't you find that just a might peculiar? |
| This estate he's settin' up he's buyin' with yer money." |

| Jack has to do his rounds, so he loads and passes a rifle to |
| Hanks. "Here, just in case." |
 |
| "You do know how to use that thing don't ya?" |
