| (Craddock takes her outside and shoots 3 feathers off a fence) |

| (Jack is embarrassed) |
| "Business man" Moberly offers to sell Marie some primary books to help educate the illiterate |
| To raise money he suggests that the marshal |
| (Moberly plans to steal the money from the jail while the good folks of Bordertown are busy). |
| Moberly's compadres stage a fight in the saloon (while Moberly plans to blow up the bank) |
| (Jack gets the attention of the brawling ombres by lighting a stick of dynomite). |
| "Didn't learn that in a book now did I?" |
| (As Jack puts out the dynomite a huge explosion is heard). |
| (Moberly pretends to chase off the robbers, Clive locks up the banks money in jail). |
| Marie apologizes and offers to help him learn to read. |
| "I'm doin' just fine as I am, all right?... 'Sides, I ain't about to change now." |
