Craddock VS. Bennett (continued)
(Leaving the saloon, Marie sees Moberly coming out of the jail, with the bank money.... she finds
Jake unconcious on the floor, holding a WANTED poster with Moberly's name on it.)
Marie rushes to the saloon...
(Jack passes it to Clive) "What's it say?"
....and lock him up.
The fight is held in Canada..at Confederation Hall.
Clive discusses the rules with Jack...
"No biting and no hitting below the belt."
They shake hands.....and come out fighting.
Clive gives Jack a couple of good right hooks..
Jack responds by tripping him....
Meanwhile, Marie is having tea at the saloon with one of the barmaids. They can hear the crowd
as the fight becomes more heated.
Jack headbutts Clive, leaving him with a bloody nose.
"You're not fighting by the rules Jack."
"There ain't no rules mountie!"
...and shows the boys the wanted poster.
"It's Moberly..what's the matter? Can't you read?"
The lawmen..with the backing of the entire town,
corner Moberly in the livery stable.
The next day Clive is writing his report on the incident. He apologizes to Jack and offers to give
him reading lessons.
Jack politely turns down his offer..just as Marie enters the room.
"Jack...I'm waiting."
The marshal smiles at Clive and Jake and follows her out the door.
Clive is puzzled..."Jake?"
"Marie is giving him private reading lessons." the old man smiles.
Just then Jack sticks his head back inside the door.
"If we hadn't been so rudely interrupted...I woulda won."
"What!...You didn't even fight fair!"
