Greetings from the faraway and exotic land of India! India has fascinated people the world over for centuries now. It has amazed people with its diversity, but even more with its strong unity inspite of
it's diversity. And this diveristy is not just in the geography, but in all walks of life. There are 24 languages spoken in India by over a million people. And no, most of these languages are not even closely
related, unless you consider German and English to be related! India has 26 states, and each is unique. From clothing to food to festivals, each state is unique.
Some of the common things that come to
people's minds when they think of India are the Taj Mahal, tigers, elephants and snake charmers! But India has changed rapidly over the years. It has become a major industrial power in South-East Asia, dominating the
region. Yes, you can still see people transporting goods using camel carts, and farmers ploughing their fields with ploughs drawn by cattle, but there is another side as well. Satellites, computers, the information
superhighway, international cable, multinational businesses and so much more make up a "modern" India. People are often fascinated by what they see when they visit India. But not everyone gets the
opportunity to visit India. But don't worry -- here you will find a comprehensive collection of links related to India and a few of my likings. But the problem is that with all this engineering, I don't have much
time to spend on things like making my homepage! So, whenever I get some free time, I'll be adding things on and modifying this page. So do stop by again! Enjoy! TajMahal
