Ending their record-breaking run, Oxford A won the final round. Winner: Oxford A, The team: Samir Deger-Sen and Lewis Iwu Runner ups: Cambridge B, Monash A, Sydney A.
Samir also achieved the distinction of being the second best speaker in the world based on overall performance in all rounds.
The last time that Oxford won the world championship was in 1988, so Samir and Lewis managed to bring the world debating championship cup back to Oxford after 20 years.

Soma is a civil engineer , presently doing her MS at Buffalo in Envioronmental Engineering; Siraj after completing Master in Bio Technology from IIT,Pawai is doing his Phd at Rochester in Bio- Physics. Both have gone back to USA for completing their higher education.
Update 25/11/03: Soma after completing MS, now working at RBF consultancy at Irvin, CA as project manager. Siraj is at the last lap of Phd.
Pratiti, daughter of Bubul(Pratapaditya Majumdar, Partha's mamato bhai) weds Sudipta Mukherjee.
Bubul is developing his own army squad and the first person to join his Band Wagon is Sudipta.

wedding . They have two children Tatai ( 9th grade )& Rubai ( 7th grade ) who are very famous as they never fight .
