Behavioral Description
1. System States.
The software goes through the various modules one by one as described in the Data Flow Diagram and Modular Description above. The output of each module is made visible in the screen. Finally it shows the result whether the current image matched with one stored in the database. Since the image enhancement techniques applied are not optimizing around 800 bifurcations and ridges are being extracted from every image at present. Since it is not necessary that there should be an exact match so, if 70 % match occurs then the image is authenticated otherwise if less then 70% match occurs then the result signifies that a match has not occurred.
2. Events & Actions.
At the end of every module a resulting bitmap image is produced and this image is displayed. The modules have been made in this way in order to show the internal pre-processing of the fingerprint image so that the intricacies of the image enhancement techniques are revealed in a continuous manner.
