EDUCATION CENTER

The arboretum has many educational opportunities. Tours of the grounds are available. Throughout the summer on weekends, the Earl Seifert Visitor Center will be open for tours. Call for visitor center hours. The grounds are open 24 hours a day for nature walks. The Janssen Family Memorial Water Garden provides many educational opportunities to learn about water plants and fish. Many different types of trees are planted on the grounds. The wetlands provide a natural setting to study native water plants, fish, frogs and birds.

Inside the Center, the Parsons Amateur Woodworkers have a display of different types of wood and the Parsons Audubon Society has a display of different bird nests and eggs.

The library provides books on a wide range of topics related to trees, flowers, birds, almost anything to do with nature.

A display of clam shells and buttons made from these shells is also found in the center.
