Autumn, 1980, Okie's, University and Central, Albuquerque. After this gig, a mixture of rock and reggae music, there was an amicable split along stylistic lines � the eclectic folk-rockers kept the name while those who wanted to play only Reggae formed "Strictly Roots."

UNM BALLROOM. Spring, 1981. Afternoon concert at which Ron Hogan had an epileptic fit.
MAYOR'S RACE, Autumn, 1981. Cabin ran seventh in a field of ten, getting more votes per dollar than any other candidate.
LIMEY LARRY'S HALLOWEEN, October, 1981. Private party at which shots were fired and Cabin was sucker-punched.
SMOKE IN THE MAYOR, December, 1981, Civic Plaza, afternoon. Event for Harry Kinney.
SMOKE IN, Spring, 1982. Afternoon concert in Roosevelt Park, organized by David Earl Buck and thoroughly crashed by the police who committed over 30 officers for two to six hours, put one civilian in the hospital when a horse stepped on him, arrested two people, one for misdemeanor possession and one for what turned out to be tobacco, while coming within inches of starting a riot at an otherwise peaceful, friendly event.
FIREMEN'S HALL, Spring, 1982. Caleb quits. Phil joins him after the gig. Becky Standifer finds out Thom is not just a roadie.

ALAN GINSBERG. Thom plays guitar behind the beat poet. Jim Schwar plays percussion. Thom and Jim meet at rehearsals for this gig and Jim winds up an Alien.
